NC State added a little more depth to their football team on Monday with a graduate transfer.
Ryan Finley is a quarterback that played at Boise State and now will be on the depth chart for the Wolfpack. Finley will be joining the program as a graduate transfer.
“I’m excited to be a part of the Wolfpack and this new family,” Finley said in a statement. “I can’t wait to get to work.”
Finley is a 6’4, 200 pound prospect that is actually one that will be eligible for two years and immediately in 2016, so he could be in contention for the starting quarterback job.
“[Finley] will be listed as a redshirt junior for N.C. State this fall, but is eligible for a medical redshirt – meaning he still has three seasons of eligibility,” the Press-Tribune wrote.
FInley threw for 485 yards last season, completing 66 percent of his passes before being injured.
