Here’s the latest from Chicago...

On Thursday, former Syracuse Orange forward Tyler Lydon participated in the NBA Combine, where we received just about every piece of information you could possibly want.

Anyways, a few numbers jumped out to me but we’ll give you all of them anyways.

Notable measurements:

Body fat: 13.6%

Hand length (inches): 8.75

Hand width (inches): 8.75

Height (w/o shoes): 6’8.25”

Height (w/ shoes): 6’9.5”

Standing reach: 8’11.5”

Agility testing:

Lane agility time (seconds): 11.68

Standing vertical leap (inches): 29.5 (four inches better than Thomas Bryant)

Max vertical leap (inches): 33.5 (which was half an inch better than Bryant)

***

Given the fact that virtually everyone referred to Lydon as a 6-foot-10 forward for Syracuse the past two years — I was surprised to see Lydon just over 6-foot-8 without shoes on. It actually doesn’t matter at all considering you play basketball with shoes on (well, except Lydon in last year’s NCAA Tournament), but it was still surprising to me.

And as for everything else, Lydon tested well and reportedly shot the ball very well from 3-point range.

As for workouts, Lydon has one scheduled with the Chicago Bulls next week, according to 670 The Score in Chicago. The Bulls have one first-round pick in next month’s NBA Draft.

Lydon has been projected to go anywhere from 13th overall to the second round. He signed with representation last month, meaning he cannot return to Syracuse basketball.

More interviews and workouts will come out within the next few days, and we’ll keep you updated right here at TNIAAM.
