Maryland's likely starting point guard, Seth Allen, will miss the next 8-10 weeks with a broken foot. The injury is to Allen's fifth metatarsal, which is an injury that should be well-known to most ACC fans.

“We are devastated for Seth,” said Maryland head coach Turgeon in a release. “He was playing at a very high level throughout the summer and fall and was poised to have an excellent start to the season. We will support Seth during his rehabilitation process and will prepare him, so he can get back on the court with his teammates.”
The article linked above speculates Roddy Peters is most likely to step in for Allen, but I'd put my money on a combination of Nick Faust and Dez Wells. The two have shared backcourt duties previously and would allow for the Terps to play a slightly bigger lineup where they have more depth.
