Sophomore forward Jaylen Johnson scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Louisville opened exhibition play with a 71-55 win over Bellarmine Sunday afternoon at the KFC Yum Center.

The game mirrored many that U of L fans watched a season ago, with the Cards struggling to put the ball in the basket for long stretches of time but stymying a potent Bellarmine offense that has led Division-II in field goal percentage in each of the past three seasons. Louisville finished the game 23 of 57 from the field (40.4%), including 7 of 19 (36.8%) from behind the 3-point line. The Knights shot just 32.0 percent from the field and misfired on 17 of their 22 shots from beyond the arc.

The only U of L player who joined Johnson in double figures was Trey Lewis, who scored 10 points on 3 of 5 shooting. Fellow 5th year transfer and captain Damion Lee added 9.

Although he did not make an appearance in the starting lineup, sophomore Quentin Snider looked like the same floor general who helped guide Louisville to the Elite 8 last March. The former Ballard High star dished out a game-high 8 assists and seemed to be on the floor during each one of U of L's most productive stretches.

Plenty more to talk about here, including postgame reaction from Rick Pitino.

For now, here's your final box score.
