Jim Boeheim: 'I'm not much of a blogger,' doubles down on Trump

Boeheim is back to talk about the reaction to his reaction to Donald Trump.

Jim Boeheim is a man who likes to share his opinion. He uses his pulpit to discuss his thoughts and he doesn't often hold back in terms of content or audience. He doesn't appear to be beholden to anyone, not even his bosses.

It's similar to the idea of what bloggers do, if you think about it. At least, what we think bloggers do. Alas, it doesn't look like we'll ever truly convert Boeheim over to our side because he doesn't "get into those things on the internet."

One more thing: As you know, I'm not much of a blogger. I'm not like the people who get into those things on the Internet. But I'm amazed that the same people who take great pride on the blogs in having freedom of expression seem to think that I can't freely express my feelings.

"As you know, I'm not much of a blogger" might be understatement of the century.

This is the beginning of Boeheim's reaction to his reaction to Donald Trump from last week. As you might remember, Boeheim sounded off on the Presidential candidate's unfitness (not to mention his hatred for most kinds of Brazilian meats).

I'm curious what blogs Boeheim was reading because I don't remember seeing any that thought his opinion was invalid. Either he was reading the comments (never read the comments, Jim) or he just didn't like having his ability to speak his mind questioned at all.

I don't think you should say the president of the United States founded ISIS and then two days later say you were just joking. I mean, come on. You can't do that. That would be like me coming away from a press conference two days later and saying, "Oh, no. I was just kidding around."

If you say something you have to take responsibility for it. I've said some things that are a little bit off the wall, but I don't run away and hide from them.

I'm not trying to make a big deal out of this. It's just the things Donald Trump says are crazy. You can't say those things. You shouldn't say those things. There should be some civility when it comes to being president of the United States.

So there you go. I'm sure this will end the discussion once and for all and there will be no comments about how Boeheim should #StickToSports or stay in his lane or whatever else.
