Georgia Tech got in the news surrounding their latest commit from Georgia.

Georgia Tech was able to get on board for 2017 as Jaytlin Askew announced his commitment on Thursday.  Askew is a 5-foot-9, 170-pound prospect from McEachern High School in Georgia and held double digit offers.  However, on Thursday, he announced that he would be ending his recruitment and commit to Paul Johnson and the Yellow Jackets.

“First of all, I just want to thank every coach for offering me.  I see those as people and shcools who believe in me.  It was a hard decision to make. I had to look beyond the NFL, looks and accessories.  Life is bigger than just objects and fame.  I want to go somewhere I can guarantee a stable lifestyle of football.  Somewhere that has the major I intend to take, which is Robotics Engineering.  Everyone doesn’t make it to the NFL and I don’t want to put my entire future in the hopes of making to the NFL.  If your a great player, the NFL is going to find you regardless.  So after talking to my family.. I’ve decided to COMMIT…TO… GEORGIA TECH”

Askew is the sixth commitment for Georgia Tech and the fifth commitment in the month of June.  Askew is also the second cornerback to commit from the state of Georgia and overall, joining Dameon Williams.
