The Wolfpack received their third commitment this week from a Florida defensive end.
Xavier Lyas, a 6-foot-5, 210-pound defensive end from Durant High School in Florida announced that he is joining the Wolfpack recruiting class for 2017.
Lyas selected NC State over programs like Bowling Green, Cincinnati, FIU, Northern Illinois, Samford, Western Illinois, and Western Illinois. He was recently in North Carolina for camps at North Carolina and NC State and the Florida defensive end must of seen enough while there.
Lyas is now the seventh commitment for the NC State recruiting class in 2017 and is the second defensive lineman in his class, joining defensive tackle Grant Gibson.
