Duke's Frank Jackson declares for NBA Draft

I think we all knew how good Frank Jackson was with the change of direction on the court, apparently he is equally adept off the court.  Not too long after some in college basketball media had said Frank Jackson would be returning to Duke, we get this tweet from Jon Rothstein on Saturday evening.

Odds are that Jackson will return to Duke after testing the waters, but Duke fans likely will likely be caught by surpise with this news on Sunday morning.  Frank Jackson is expected to join Grayson Allen in the starting backcourt for Duke next season if he returns to school.

If he stays in the draft, Jackson will have a number of point guards that he will have compete with in draft prep.  DBR has more on that:

For that matter, look at who is in this year’s draft ahead of him at point guard because it’s a great draft for that position: 6-4 FR Markelle Fultz, 6-6 FR Lonzo Ball, 6-3 FR De’Aaron Fox, 6-2 FR Dennis Smith (all are expected to go in the top eight picks), France’s 6-5 Frank Ntilikina, 6-6 SO PJ Dozier, 6-0 SO Jawun Evans, 6-5 FR Kobi Simmons, 6-3 JR Nigel Williams-Goss, 6-2 SR Monte Morris and 6-0 SR Frank Mason are all on the big board.

DBR has more on Jackson's decision here as well.
