Game Recap

Dumpster fire.

After a home win last week over Cornell, the Syracuse Orange traveled to Chestnut Hill to take on Boston College in its first ACC game. Jim Boeheim gave the nod to Taurean Thompson at the center spot to start the game. Not much changed as the zone looked horrid and Syracuse fell to BC 96-81. It was the first ACC win for Boston College since 2015.

The 2-3 zone looked deplorable from the tip as Syracuse failed to get out on shooters — It allowed Boston College to shoot 6-12 from distance in the first half. As such, Syracuse went into the break trailing 44-33.

Not much changed in the second half as Syracuse was unable to take away threes and BC continued to pile it on. Eventually turning to the press, Syracuse gave Boston College easy looks at the rim and in the half court.

DaJuan Coleman didn't play in today's game. Andrew White led the way for Syracuse with 22 points and Tyler Roberson had 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Syracuse will return home to take on Miami on Wednesday. That game tips at 7 pm from the Carrier Dome.
