Boeheim's Ejection Jacket Goes For $14K At The Basket Ball

That and more highlights from this weekend's Basket Ball, hosted by Jim & Juli Boeheim.

The 15th Annual Basket Ball, hosted by Jim and Juli Boeheim, was held over the weekend. Tons of glamour, glitz, gaiety and glory on hand. And of course lots of money raised to benefit Central New York youth groups and fund pediatric cancer research.

Here's some highlights for those who missed it...

The now-legendary jacket that Jim Boeheim was wearing when he was ejected from the Duke game went to auction, raising $14K

The Syracuse Orange basketball team continued on their tradition of going "orange tie" for the event.

And of course Sean McDonough was on hand to roast Jim Boeheim, who is so very roast-able.

"It's probably the easiest assignment I have all year," McDonough said, "because making fun of Coach is pretty easy."

"I"m sure the Duke thing was delivered from God," McDonough said. "He said we had to watch our language at this event — says the man who went storming across the court screaming profanities at the top of his lungs on national TV."

Also noted in Donna Ditota's write-up is the latest slightly-passive-aggresive reaction by Boeheim on Jerami Grant going pro.

"I think our players have to do what's right for them. It's a tough decision. You hate to lose any players, but every one of our players wants to get to the NBA. And you have to respect their right to make that decision. You just hope all of your players are going to be successful. I'm just so proud of our two seniors, who graduated and had great careers. They did a tremendous job this year. We hate to lose anybody, but sometimes players have to make the decision they think is the right decision. And you can't criticize that."
