Let the moving and shaking begin.

According to a report from Jeff Greer of the Courier-Journal, sophomore guard Anton Gill plans to transfer from Louisville. Gill was expected to step into a larger role this season after the departures of Russ Smith and Luke Hancock, but wound up averaging just 9.4 minutes and 2.5 points per game. He shot just 35.3 percent from the field, including 25.6 percent from three.

This news comes less than a week after Gill's biggest moment as a Cardinal, when he scored 7 key points during the second half of U of L's win over NC State in the Sweet 16.

Pitino hinted at Gill's departure earlier in the day on Monday, saying that he expected a "couple of guys" to transfer. He added that he intends to add at least one and maybe as many as three junior college transfers or graduate transfers to next year's roster.

One of those players could be a guy Cardinal fans saw firsthand this season, as Cleveland State guard Trey Lewis announced Monday afternoon that he intends to transfer for his senior season. Lewis, who averaged 16.3 ppg this season for the Vikings, scored 24 of his team's 33 points in a November loss to Louisville, and drew significant praise from Rick Pitino afterward. Lewis is also close friends with fellow central Ohio native Terry Rozier, whom Pitino said Monday was headed to the NBA.

Update: We have U of L confirmation.
