Akoy Agau to transfer from Louisville

After spending just over a year with the Louisville basketball program, sophomore forward Akoy Agau will be transferring from the school, as WDRB's Eric Crawford first reported. His destination at this point is unknown.

Agau arrived at Louisville as a highly-regarded recruit in Rick Pitino's freshman class last year, but the wealth of front court talent that has joined the team since his arrival make this news relatively unsurprising. Freshmen Chinanu Onuaku, Anas Mahmoud and Jaylen Johnson have all played considerably more than Agau this season, leaving him buried under a deep rotation of young big men.

So far this year, Agau has appeared in three games and compiled 11 total minutes, both team lows. Last season, he scored a total of 17 points after appearing in 19 games.

Things certainly haven't turned out the way many may have imagined with Agau, but hopefully he will find a good situation wherever he lands next.
