ACC Morning Linkfest 1/14/2015 with Game Sim Predictions

Duke was blown out in Cameron. Syracuse and Wake battled to OT behind some impressive individual performances.  Virginia and Louisville win big at home.  Those were the storylines from Tuesday night.

Miami ended Duke's 41 game win streak in Cameron with a 16 point defeat of the Blue Devils.  Miami's Angel Rodriguez controlled the game and Duke absolutely fell apart late.  As good as Miami was, it marked the second straight game that an opponent has lit up Duke.   Defensively the Blue Devils look as stout as a wet paper bag.  Bad news Duke fans, you get Louisville this weekend.

The other big game of the night was Wake Forest at Syracuse.  Coming into the game I felt Wake could win, and the Deacs competed throughout.  Rakeem Christmas was the difference though.  Despite Wake's frontcourt depth, Christmas dominated througout and finished with 35 points in the win.  Tip of the hat to Dinos Mitoglou, as the Greek Deac scored 26 to spark the Wake offense.

Big news came out last night regarding Notre Dame's Zach Auguste.  One news outlet is reporting that Auguste has been suspended for the remainder of the season.  I havnen't yet seen this confirmed, but this would be a huge blow to the Irish.

Four more ACC games (3 league games) tonight, highlighted by UNC and NC State, which TarHeelBlog.com calls the "Battle of the Letdown Game".  Check out links, predictions, and more below.
