ACC Linkfest 2/14/2017 - Can we get more OT with 3 Tuesday matchups?

When you run a website often the most obvious stuff gets pushed to the side.  For me as much as I'd love to write every day, its just not always a possibility.  Thanks to those that have reached out looking for our daily posts.   I can't promise they'll come back, but when I can I'll post.  Today I have that opportunity, so check it out!

I'll use the help of our content partner, AllThingsACC.com, sharing this post from their site to preview tonight's action.

The ACC has three games on the schedule, with only one Top 25 program in action tonight.  No. 25 Notre Dame travels to Boston College, Wake Forest heads down to Clemson, and the Hokies take on Pittsburgh.

#25 Notre Dame at Boston College

Boston College is 8-8 at home, as home-court advantage could be key in this one.  But the Eagles have yet to take down a Top 25 team this season, going 0-4.  The Irish though have gotten back on track with two straight wins and the offense starting to click.  Notre Dame is 3-3 on the road this season but can Boston College match the spread offense of the Irish.

Wake Forest at Clemson

Clemson have lost three straight but have competed well in several games this season; just look what they were able to do against the Blue Devils.  Wake Forest already lost to Clemson at home, in which the Demons Deacons controlled several categories.  But it was the second half for Clemson, in which they outscored Wake Forest 42-32 to secure the win.

Virginia Tech at Pittsburgh

This is the first matchup between these two teams and the Hokies hope they can keep their recent momentum going.  However, after defeating Virginia on Sunday, they learned that Chris Clarke will be out of action for the year.  They hope they can find a way to win on the road, as Virginia Tech is 2-5 this season.  Pittsburgh has two of the top scorers in the ACC and have now won two straight.  Both teams can score the ball but which team can step up defensively.

Matchup To Watch:

Clemson’s Jaron Blossomgame vs Wake Forest John Collins

Blossomgame and Collins are both in the Top 10 in scoring in the ACC, as Blossomgame comes in averaging 17.3 points per game and Collins comes in slightly above with 18.1 points.  These will be the two key prospects on the floor in this game in South Carolina.
