Winter weather has arrived in the triangle area and although the bulk of the snow totals were farther west than predicted. So, local games are still on as planned for now, but we'll give updates via our twitter account @scacchoops if things change.
Today, we have ACC conference games on the schedule. Let's take a quick look at each of those games.
Pitt at Syracuse: A rivalry game kicks off the day. Syracuse is coming off their best game in a long time while Pitt just beat UVA in OT. Both teams want to keep momentum going in their direction.
Boston College at Duke: Today will be Duke's first game without Mike Krzyzewski, who had successful back surgery yesterday. Despite that, Boston College should be outgunned and outmatched in this one.
Virginia Tech at FSU: When you have a bad game in the ACC, there's typically no relief around the corner. The Hokies were blitzed by NC State last game and travel to play a dangergous FSU team who haven't played in a week. Look for a lot of points in this one.
Louisville at Georgia Tech: This is a matchup two teams coming off losses from a few days ago. Louisville is 0-2 in the ACC with losses to two Top 25 teams in UVA and Notre Dame, while Georgia Tech has managed a brutal conference start of UNC, Duke, and now Louisville.
Clemson at Notre Dame: The matchup of Blossomgame and Colson should be a highlight for this matchup. Two of the league's top power forwards should matchup frequently.
NC State at UNC: We started with a rivalry game and we'll finish with a rivalry game. Dennis Smith Jr vs Joel Berry should be fascinating. NC State showed what they can be on Wednesday, let's see how they'll perform on the road against better competition. Theo Pinson should be back for the Heels tonight, as well.
