I think we are defiantly far enough into the college football season to start getting a feel where the ACC Bowl teams end up. I also link several bowl projections from around several various sports sites. The Kraft Fight Hunger could be a bowl destination if the ACC gets a 9th bowl eligible team, but only if BYU and the Pac 12 can’t fufill their commitment to the bowl.

Let us warn you Syracuse, East Carolina lives to beat ACC teams. I’m not sure the ACC will get an 8th team eligible though. The Orange need to win 3 of their last 5, but with Wake Forest, BC, and Pitt at home its possible. If Wake Forest wins at Syracuse next Saturday they may slide into this position.

Projected Matchup: Duke vs Houston
This would be a very difficult matchup for the Blue Devils, but the Belk Bowl won’t let the local team get away. Houston is a very underrated team, but how about those Blue Devils? David Cutcliffe doing a fantastic job in Durham.

Projected Matchup: Clemson vs. Louisville
This game might be better than a couple of BCS Bowls. Clemson could go to the Chick Fil A again, but I think think they get passed over. It would be the Tigers 3rd visit to the Dome since September 2012. If the Tigers win out, they will get serious BCS At Large consideration, but I don’t think they can win at South Carolina.

Projected Matchup: Georgia Tech vs Ole Miss
Georgia Tech is one more win from getting bowl eligible. Beating Pitt this weekend is a must. The game with Alabama A&M doesn’t count, and the Jackets will be underdogs to Clemson and Georgia. I like this regional matchup with Ole Miss.

Miami struggles to fill their own stadium and that’s a problem. The Chick Fil A hopes Auburn will fall to here. The Tigers are highly ranked at the moment but I don’t think they can hold on to that ranking.

BCS vs. BCS (ACC champion if not in BCS championship)
Projected Matchup: Florida State vs Oklahoma St.
The Orange gets the first at large choice, (thankfully) or they could end up with UCF or Fresno St. playing in the Orange Bowl. A great disservice to a Florida State team that might be the nation’s best. They probable can’t move ahead of Oregon/Alabama because they started the year ahead of the Noles. Wisconsin, Oklahoma are other possibilities.
