Some interesting news surrounding Wolfpack basketball was announced this week.
NC State Abdul-Malik Abu announced Thursday that he would be returning to NC State for his junior year, withdrawing his name from the NBA Draft.
As a sophomore, Abu started all 33 games and averaged 12.9 points per game and 8.8 rebounds and will now be an focal point down low in the paint for NC State next year.
Not long after, Beejay Anya announced that he would be returning to NC State and withdrawing his name from the NBA Draft. Anya is coming back after averaging 23.4 minutes, 4.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game for the Wolfpack last year.
Lennard Freeman though had surgery on his leg Wednesday, an injury that was bothering him throughout the season, and has been reported that he could miss the entire 2016-2017 season, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Last season, he average 3.2 points and 5.0 rebounds last season.
